2024 Nominations Announced for American Theatre Wings 77th Annual Antoinette Perry Tony Awards
The curtains are about to rise on theater's biggest night of the year!
The nominations for the 77th Tony Awards were announced Tuesday morning on CBS and via livestream by the Tony winners. The full list of nominees is a testament to the strength and resilience of the theater community, which has faced unprecedented challenges in recent years.
This year's nominees include a diverse range of productions from across the country, from Broadway to Off-Broadway. The musical "Hadestown" leads the pack with 14 nominations, followed by "Moulin Rouge! The Musical" with 10 nominations and "A Strange Loop" with nine nominations.
In the play categories, "Between Riverside and Crazy" and "The Piano Lesson" are tied with five nominations each, followed by "Topdog/Underdog" with four nominations.
The Tony Awards will be presented on June 11, 2024, at Radio City Music Hall. The ceremony will be hosted by Ariana DeBose, who won a Tony Award last year for her performance in "West Side Story."
